Back in my Nashville days, I had the privilege of working with many talented singer-songwriters and emerging artists. They would walk in with nothing more than a guitar or piano part and a vocal melody, and together we’d shape those raw ideas into fully produced tracks. My role was to help them refine their hooks, build out the arrangement, and fully produce their vision — like this session with Samie True, captured at Blackbird Studio C.
Full Production
I want to thank Cami Maree for allowing me to share her “before and after” tracks here. The first is a simple acoustic guitar and vocal recording — nothing overproduced, just the raw heart of her song. The second is the fully produced version I built around that same recording, shaping it into a polished, radio-ready track.
This is all you need to get started: your voice, your instrument, and a great idea. From there, I’ll take your song and build the full arrangement around it.
